Madhesh Province Adolescents’ Conference 2082 Concludes in Bardibas

The Madhesh Province-level Adolescents’ Conference 2082 concluded in Bardibas.
Speaking at the closing, Madhesh Province Minister for Sports and Social Welfare, Pramod Jaiswal, emphasized the need to work together with civil society and other organizations to end child marriage in the province.
He further shared that the province has been implementing programs such as the Girls’ Protection Act and the Girls’ Fund to empower girls. He highlighted that the provincial government is giving special priority to girls and women, focusing on girl-centered and women-centered programs, and has allocated sufficient budget in this year’s policy and budget plan.
On the occasion, participating adolescents handed over a 12-point appeal to the Minister. The gathering saw the participation of 50 adolescents from 8 districts of Madhesh Province. The conference was organized by National Adolescent Girl’s Network and National Adolescent Boys’ Network Nepal, coordinated by CWIN Nepal Girls Not Brides Nepal and NIRN-Nepal, with the support of Save the Children International
