Global Action Week for Education 2024
To create pressure on the government to increase investment in public and transformative education, the National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE Nepal) organized a Civic Gathering and Demonstration, on the occasion of Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) 2024. A flash mob was organized, along with different art demonstrations on the occasion. Participants sang and danced and panje baaja was played, in their efforts to draw the attention of the government towards public and transformative education in Nepal.
Being a member organization of the network, CWIN-Nepal participated actively in the program. Global Action Week for Education 2024 is an essential moment for advocates worldwide to rally behind the cause of education. With the slogan of “Beat the drums for Transformative Education,” this week-long event seeks to galvanize support for equitable access to quality education for all. Through a variety of activities, including demonstrations, advocacy campaigns, and community events, Global Action Week for Education aims to ignite conversations, inspire action, and mobilize resources to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
