Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit inaugurated in Karnali Province Hospital

Karnali Province Hospital in Surkhet opened its Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit today. The Unit was inaugurated today, by the Director of the hospital, Dr Damar Khadka, and the Country Representative of UNICEF, Alice Akunga. CWIN Nepal and UNICEF came together to open the first Child and Adolescent Mental Health Facility in the province. The Treasurer of CWIN Nepal Subodh Chandra Shrestha, Board Member of CWIN Nepal Dr. Govinda Subedi, Program Director Kumar Bhattarai, and the team leader of the Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit in Kanti Children's Hospital were present at the opening.
