On the occasion of the 34th Anniversary of CWIN-Nepal, National Adolescent Girls Forum was rewarded for its decade long contribution to the empowerment of adolescent girls in Nepal. The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Chair of the National Human Rights Commission, Tapa Bahadur Magar as the Chief Guest; Hon’ble Member of National Planning Commission, Saloni Singh as the Special Guest and Mr. Gauri Pradhan, Founder of CWIN-Nepal also as a Special Guest and Keynote speaker.
The speakers highlighted the importance of regarding children’s agenda as an agenda of national pride and investing in children as they are the present and future of the nation. They also stressed the need for the adoption of national strategic plans of action for children to be child rights-based and inclusive of all the emerging issues.
On the occasion of its anniversary, CWIN-Nepal also awarded the staff members completing a decade of service to the organisation.
