Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Centre (CWIN-Nepal) is a leading child rights organization dedicated to promoting the protection, wellbeing, and development of children and adolescents across Nepal. Through its Outreach and Research Centre, CWIN-Nepal works to strengthen Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) services by increasing awareness, building the capacity of service providers, and enhancing access to quality mental health care for children, adolescents, and their families.

CWIN-Nepal is also actively engaged in child and adolescent mental health research to generate evidence that informs policies, programs, and service delivery systems. The organization collaborates with national and international partners to conduct research, develop innovative interventions, and promote evidence-based practices that contribute to the prevention, early identification, and management of mental health problems among children and adolescents.

To support these efforts, CWIN-Nepal invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Outreach Manager.

  1. Position Title: Program and field coordinator

Number of Positions: 1

Duty Station: Outreach and Research Centre, CWIN-Nepal

Job Purpose

The Program and Field Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities at the field level. The position ensures smooth collaboration with schools, communities, health facilities, government agencies, and other stakeholders, while supporting quality program delivery, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and achievement of project objectives, particularly in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities at the field level.
  • Liaise with schools, health facilities, local governments, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, trainings, workshops, orientations, and community outreach activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, provide technical support, and ensure quality implementation of project interventions.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for teachers, health workers, community volunteers, and other service providers.
  • Collect, compile, analyze, and maintain project data and documentation for reporting and learning purposes.
  • Prepare timely activity reports, success stories, case studies, and other project documentation as required.
  • Assist in conducting assessments, surveys, research, and evaluations related to project objectives.
  • Support referral and follow-up mechanisms for children and adolescents requiring specialized services.
  • Maintain effective coordination with project partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.
  • Perform any other program-related duties assigned by the supervisor to support the successful achievement of project goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution; candidates with a Master’s degree will be given preference.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, field implementation, community mobilization, training, stakeholder engagement, or project management.
  • Experience working with NGOs, development projects, schools, health facilities, or community-based programs is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child rights, child protection, mental health, psychosocial support, or community development programs will be an asset.
  • Experience in organizing trainings, workshops, meetings, and outreach activities.
  • Strong skills in documentation, report writing, data collection, and project monitoring.
  • Good communication, facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with government agencies, local stakeholders, communities, and development partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic data management.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and work in diverse community settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

2. Position Title: Outreach Manager

Job Purpose

The Outreach Manager leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of outreach initiatives that promote mental health awareness and prevent child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) problems in schools and communities. The role focuses on strengthening stakeholder engagement, building local capacity, and ensuring programs are evidence-based and aligned with CWIN’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase the visibility and impact of CWIN’s CAMH programs.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, schools, and community leaders.
  • Deliver CAMH orientation sessions for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Provides / facilitate training on empathy, resilience, and psychosocial support for those working with vulnerable children.
  • Design and disseminate culturally appropriate child and adolescents mental health awareness materials (e.g., brochures, IEC resources) for schools, community health centers, and hospitals.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate research-based outreach programs for children, adolescents, caregivers, and service providers.
  • Lead teachers training on child violence, psychosocial support, and early identification of emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Implement and assess Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs for teachers and school nurses, focusing on communication, empathy, trauma-informed care, and child-friendly practices.
  • Organize and deliver capacity-building training in CAMH for community workers (e.g., FCHVs, social mobilizers, and outreach staff).
  • Establish and strengthen referral pathways for children with severe mental health needs, linking community services with specialized care.
  • Support the development of teleconsultation services to expand access to mental health care in remote areas.
  • Conduct follow-up visits, mentoring, and supportive supervision to ensure quality implementation and skill retention.
  • Monitor, document, and report on the outcomes and impact of outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with schools, health facilities, and community structures to expand coverage and ensure sustainability.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • MD in Psychiatry from a recognized institution / MPhil in Clinical Psychology.
  • Mandatory registration with the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) /Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC), as applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience in child and adolescent mental health, community outreach, training, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Experience in conducting, managing, or supporting mental health research projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, report-writing, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with government agencies, educational institutions, health facilities, community organizations, and development partners.
  • Experience in program monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting.

3. Position Title: Training and Education Manager

Job Purpose

The Training and Education Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training and educational programs on CAMH to build the capacity of target groups such as health workers, community workers, and other stakeholders. The role ensures high-quality learning experiences aligned with CWIN’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop structured training curricula, modules, and learning materials on CAMH.
  • Identify training needs on CAMH through assessments, field feedback, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Integrate evidence-based approaches and contextual relevance into training content.
  • Plan and conduct training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities on CAMH.
  • Coordinate and manage trainers, facilitators, and subject experts.
  • Ensure participatory, inclusive, and learner-centered training methodologies.
  • Develop long-term training and education strategies on CAMH aligned with CWIN’s objectives.
  • Expand training programs across sectors (e.g., health, education, community).
  • Promote innovative learning approaches.
  • Develop tools to assess training effectiveness and participant learning outcomes.
  • Monitor training quality and impact through feedback, assessments, and follow-up.
  • Use data to refine and improve training programs.
  • Collaborate with institutions, government bodies, and partners for training initiatives.
  • Build networks with trainers, academic institutions, and technical experts.
  • Represent the CWIN in training-related forums and events.
  • Develop and update training manuals, guidelines, toolkits, and IEC materials on CAMH.
