CWIN-Nepal, in collaboration with UNICEF is seeking application from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Clinical Psychologist at Kanti Children’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Mental Health under the project “Strengthening Health System for Child and Adolescent Mental Health”.

Position: Clinical Psychologist (1 Position)

  • Duty Station: Kanti Children’s Hospital, CAMH Unit
  • Application Deadline: 20th August 2025

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct Psychological assessments using telemedicine tools to carry out comprehensive psychological assessments, including interviews, standardized tests, and observational methods, to evaluate mental health concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to address mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Provide psychoeducation and counseling to schools, parents, and community organizations physically and or remotely.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions for continuous professional development.
  • Conduct individual or group therapy sessions via video conferencing, offering evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or play therapy tailored for children and adolescents.
  • Hospital Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including psychological assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes at Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit, Kanti Childrens Hospital.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • MPhil in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) is mandatory
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
