A provincial dialogue and consultation on alternative care and protection was held with Mr. Bishnu Prasad Koirala, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Koshi Province Government, as the Chief Guest.

The programme brought together the Ministry’s Assistant Secretary and Head of the Social Development Division, the Provincial Coordination Officer of the National Child Rights Council (NCRC), local government Child Welfare Officers, a Senior Sub-Inspector from the District Police Office’s Women and Children Cell, and other government representatives.

Heads and representatives of 16 children’s homes and 8 temporary protection centres across Koshi Province also participated, providing an opportunity for dialogue among government agencies and care providers on alternative care and child protection.
