Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Centre (CWIN-Nepal) invites eligible civil society organizations, particularly Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), to submit an Expression of Interest to become local implementing partners under the Building Effective Networks (BEN) Programme in Nepal. The programme seeks to advance the rights, inclusion and quality of life of children and young persons with disabilities and their families through holistic, disability-inclusive, community-based approaches.

The partnership will prioritize locally rooted organizations that can strengthen access and services to and quality of health and rehabilitation, inclusive education, livelihoods, protection, participation and empowerment, with particular attention to remote and underserved communities in Madhesh, Karnali, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

  1. Objective of the Call

To identify and shortlist credible, accountable and technically capable local organizations that can contribute to the design and implementation of an inclusive multi-annual programme for children and young persons with disabilities, using a Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) / Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) approach.

  1. Who May Apply
  • Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs),particularly those led by or working for children, youth, and women with disabilities, , networks and organizations led or governed by persons with disabilities.
  • Legally registered non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with demonstrated experience in child rights, disability inclusion, strengthening services, community development or related sectors.
  • Community-based organizations, foundations, rehabilitation/education institutions or networks with relevant experience and an appropriate legal or formal governance structure.
  • Organizations currently working in, or with a credible operational plan and local partnerships to work in, one or more of the four priority provinces.
  1. Priority Areas of Engagement
Health & Rehabilitation Early identification, referral, rehabilitation, assistive support ,community-based health services and Sexual Reproductive Health Services
Inclusive Education Access, quality, retention, early childhood development, learning support, school participation and transition to further education/training.
Livelihoods & Economic Inclusion Skills development, employment, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and economic participation of youth with disabilities and their families.
Protection & Social Inclusion Safeguarding, psychosocial support, access to justice, social protection and inclusion.
Empowerment & Participation Leadership, self-advocacy, family engagement, disability-inclusive governance and networks.

  • Organizational profile: legal name, year of establishment, mission/mandate, governance structure, staffing, office/location and key contact details.
  • Working experience: summary of relevant work undertaken during the last 3-5 years in child rights, disability inclusion, CBR/CBID, inclusive education, rehabilitation, protection, livelihoods or empowerment.
  • Geographic presence: current districts/municipalities and demonstrated reach in Madhesh, Karnali, Gandaki and/or Sudurpaschim Province, including remote or underserved locations.
  • Technical capacity: relevant staff/volunteers, partnerships and networks, community relationships and experience working with children, youth and families of persons with disabilities.
  • Financial and operational capacity: approximate annual organizational budget, financial management arrangements and experience managing grants or partner-funded programmes.
  • Potential contribution to BEN: thematic area(s), geographic area(s), target groups and key strengths the organization could bring to a collaborative programme.

1 Government registration certificate and latest renewal DAO / Social Welfare Council / Local Government or other applicable authority.
2 PAN/VAT registration certificate Current certificate, as applicable.
3 Organizational  Report Current profile/brochure including governance, and programme information.
4 Evidence of relevant working experience Recent annual reports, project summaries, completion letters.
5 Audit reports for the last three fiscal years Three consecutive years of audited financial statements/reports.
6 Safeguarding and organizational policies Child Protection/Safeguarding or PSEA Policy, Code of Conduct and relevant HR/Finance/Procurement policies where available.
7 Constitution/statute and current governing board list Including key office bearers and governance structure.
8 Two references From government, donor, network or recognized partner organization (preferred).
