Stories Reflecting Children’s Realities Shared at CWIN Nepal

An inspiring gathering of children’s literature writers was held today at CWIN Nepal Headoffice, where stories centered on children’s lives and experiences were shared. In collaboration with the @Nepalese Society for Children Literature, CWIN Nepal organized a “Co-creation -सहसिर्जना” program featuring the reading of 16 stories inspired by real cases recorded through the Child Helpline.
The stories were crafted by writers affiliated with the Society, who studied real incidents registered with CWIN Nepal’s Child Helpline Nepal 1098. Before the story readings began, Society’s President Mr. Bijay Raj Acharya shared that the writers analyzed selected cases and creatively transformed the real-life characters into fictional ones while preserving the essence of children’s experiences and emotions, maintaining their anonymity.
The participating authors, Kali Bahadur Shahi, Rabindra Manandhar, Uddhav Prasad Pyakurel, Tej Prakash Shrestha, Prabha Bhattarai, Sajani Naubage, Pushparaj Awasthi, Bijay Raj Acharya, Bishnu Kumar Khatri, Krishna Prasad Nyaopane, Shailendu Prakash Nyaopane, Srijana Sharma, Manju Gyawali, Prabha Bhattarai, Raj Kumari Kunwar and Hansawati Kurmi, presented their stories during the event.
According to CWIN Nepal’s Executive Director Mr. Kumar Bhattarai, all stories from the co-creation initiative will be compiled and published as a book to share children’s voices and realities more widely.
