The Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA) program is a 5-year program (2016-2020) and Plan International Nepal is implementing this project in Nepal in partnership with two national NGO partners, Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Center (CWIN-Nepal) and Women Rehabilitation Center (WOREC). The program is being implemented at the national and local level in 7 districts having government, CSOs, communities and the private sector as major stakeholders.

GAA Nepal program recently signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), and Trekking Agencies Association Nepal (TAAN). The MoUs articulates that GAA programme, HAN and TAAN’s commitment to collaborate for the policy development process. As part of this partnership, jointly with HAN and TAAN, GAA program intends to conduct a study on “Status of Young women’s workforce in the Tourism Sector" with a broader objective to provide up-to-date and relevant information for GAA program, HAN and TAAN to effectively develop policies that promote equitable and decent work for women in the tourism industry.
